Paris, A Must See

Updated: Feb 20, 2023

Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is known worldwide for Picasso Museum (Musee' Picasso), the Louvre Museum, and, of course, the Eiffel tower, to name just a few of the many historically grand places to visit.

It has a reputation for being the most romantic and cultural city in the world.
The city is often spoken of for its quaint little cafes and its gorgeous views from the many rooftop restaurants.

Although an amazing romantic destination for couples, it also has everything for people of all ages...
including Disneyland Paris!

The Picasso Museum holds one of Paris' most treasured art collections, shown off in an elegant private mansion in the Marsais.
It is the largest public Picasso collection in the world. It displays the artwork depicting his many uses, giving insight into his life. It houses all the art that Picasso couldn't part with. It's a personal collection that he lived with, created, curated, and kept nearby his entire life.

The Louvre Museum offers so many works of art to discover in this fabulous museum that use to be a palace, the building itself is spectacular!
Offering visitor trails to follow a theme-based tour and a great place to take a break in the museum's restful gardens.

Definitely a must-see during your trip!

Paris is also known for its quaint and beautiful cafes where you can enjoy a wide variety of pastries, coffees, and lunch bites and the ambiance is like nothing you've experienced....unless you've been here before.

Ending your day with dinner and a view

is for sure something you will want to schedule! There is so many "rooftop" views you can choose from to enjoy your meal with your partner by your side.

Here are just a few of the favorite rooftop dining places you can choose from:

Mun
Hotel Raphael La Terrasse
L'Oiseau Blanc
Le Georges
La Suite Girafe

It doesn't get much better than this!

Of course, we have to highlight the most visited place in Paris, The Eiffel Tower. A couple of fun facts about the Eiffel Tower: It use to be yellow

For four decades it was the world's tallest structure (Double the height of the Washington Monument) when it opened in 1889. It would not be surpassed until the Chrysler Building in NY in 1930.

If it were up to the local Parisian Artists, the Eiffel Tower would have never been built! They signed a manifesto that stated, "we hereby protest with all our might...against the construction of this monstrous Eiffel Tower". Obviously, their efforts fell on deaf ears and the construction took place.

We can't complete this Blog without recognizing that Paris isn't just for couples. There is so much to do and see and it is a great place for all ages INCLUDING Disneyland Paris!
One of the unique things about Disneyland Paris is that it is the only Disney located on an Island that is accessible by underwater tunnels. It is also the largest attraction at the resort in Paris, spanning across almost five acres on both shores of Rivers of America. It is located less than 20 miles east of Paris in Chessy, France.
