How I Got Here!

Updated: Jun 6, 2020

So this is my first time writing a blog, so here it goes. My name is Adrienne Tate and I am the proud owner of Unique Destinations Travel Company. Why travel you might say? Why not? I have always traveled due to my father being in the Air Force. We never stayed in the same place for longer than 2 years, so it became second nature. Also, I have worked with a Cultural Education programs and placed exchange students in my community for over 8 years, and hosted over 26 students myself. So we travel to go visit the them all over the world.

To be honest, being a travel advisor was never on my radar to do. However, the opportunity presented itself and I jumped in with both feet. My first year was rocky and a huge learning experience, but year two sealed the deal for me. I started picking up business and receiving referrals from people who I hadn't even worked with due to my reputation before becoming an agent. So it goes to show, that being a positive image in the community no matter what industry you are in follows you. Fortunately, that is where my journey as a business owner and a travel advisor began.

The key to my success is to genuinely treat people with the utmost courtesy and respect. I listen to what they truly want and ask questions, so that I may help them really hone in on what their "why" is for taking this trip. With taking the time to build a relationship with them, allows them to trust that I will take care of them every step of the way. I try my best to encourage that trust so that they become loyal customers as well as good friends. I want them to share with me the high points and the low points in order for me to improve my service or know better for next time if a resort or experience was not up to their expectations.

Lastly, I just wanted to give you a little incite on why I do what I do and why I continue to do what I do even through this tough time. This too shall pass and people will travel again. And I will be waiting to assist them with open arms.
